What is StudentSMART?

StudentSMART is a pocket-sized compact booklet, designed to fit in a wallet or purse, and containing hundreds of high street savings, and all-year round offers.

The booklet itself has a funky and contemporary design, with two slim magentic credit card outer covers, that when pulled apart open in a concertina style to reveal hundreds of unbeatable savings and discounts on products and services that students use regularly.

StudentSMART is designed to be very hardwearing, as students will be using the card to avail of all-year round offers, and will be required to produce their StudentSMART card at the point of sale.

How much is a StudentSMART card?

StudentSMART card retails at £3.00, a snip for students considering the card provides savings well in excess of £100 per year.

It is conceivable that the first time the card is used it will have paid for itself!

To celebrate the launch of StudentSMART we will be giving away 1,000 FREE StudentSMART cards at student fayres, student events and through our network of SMARTcardz street vendors.

The Smartcardz marketing team will be highly active around the various student campuses ensuring StudentSMART is distributed into the hands of 15,000 students throughout the city at the beginning of term, with particular focus on Freshers Fayres.

As advertisers you will also be encouraged to display a window sticker identifying your business as “StudentSMART Friendly” as appropriate.

How does StudentSMART run special promotions?

Each student who wants a StudentSMART card will be required to fill in a data capture form, that will allow StudentSMART to build up an invaluable database of the student market in Belfast.

Advertisers will then be able to promote their goods and services directly to their target market through email, text and mail promotions.

These promotions will run both on a monthly basis (ie. 'Offer of the Month'), and on a bespoke basis to meet the needs of the advertiser.
